Warranty & Service Information
Powder Coating — Powder coating creates a non-porous surface shield that is more resistant than most liquid paints, which means it is a better application for rims/calipers/parts that are exposed to unforgiving road environments. Powder coating doesn’t always cure 100% perfect even though we strive for it. Minor imperfections like orange peel, small fish eyes and out gas bubbles may occur. Our lifetime powder coating warranty only covers failure to adhere. Any damage is not covered under warranty. NOTE: Center Caps are not included in price.
Window Tint — Tint needs 3-5 days to cure. In that time you will potentially see streaking, bubbles and moisture in the tint. DO NOT roll windows down/up or attempt to clean the tint.
Clear Bra/PPF — After film is installed you may see bubbles, moisture or adhesive lines which go away after 3-4 weeks depending on weather temperatures. DO NOT wash vehicle for 72 hours after installation. Premium Shield Paint Protection Film is self-healing. If any scratches or minor damage occurs — film will auto-heal at 85 degrees.
Chrome Delete/Vinyl/Paint — A Chrome Delete can take up to 4 days to complete and consists of vinyl and high quality automotive paint. Disassembly of your vehicle is required for this service. Gloss black vinyl has a faint orange peel, which is normal. Paint takes 5 days to cure so DO NOT wash your vehicle until paint is cured. Our 1 year paint/vinyl warranty only covers failure to adhere. Rock chips can occur which is considered damage and is not covered under warranty. Vinyl rarely peels up but can happen and is covered under a 1 year warranty from purchase date.
Paint Correction/Ceramic Coating — Ceramic coating takes 2-3 days to cure in which time it should remain dry. Ceramic coating makes paint hydrophobic and slightly harder but is not scratch resistant. Paint corrections will remove the majority of swirls and minor scratches but won’t remove any major damage. If vehicle has been repainted ColorWerks assumes no responsibility for burn marks or any other paint damage.
Cerakote — Cerakote is a ceramic-based thin-film coating that offers extreme durability, corrosion resistance, and heat tolerance (up to 1,800 °F). DO NOT wash or expose to chemicals until fully cured. Minor cosmetic blemishes (dust nibs, light orange peel) are normal and not covered under warranty. Our 1-year Cerakote warranty covers peeling, flaking, or adhesion failure only. Rock chips, scratches, or abuse are considered damage and are not warrantied.
Paint — Paint takes 30 days to fully cure — DO NOT wash your vehicle/part for the first 48 hours. Our 1-year paint warranty only covers failure to adhere. Rock chips can occur which is considered damage and is not covered under warranty.
