General

The most common questions we get from customers — pricing, timelines, colors, process, and warranty.

Starting at $1,000 for a full vehicle drop-off (all 4 wheels, same-day service) or $800 for 4 loose wheels. Final price depends on wheel size, condition, and finish. Send us photos for an exact quote at colorwerks.co/quote.

For a vehicle drop-off, pricing starts at $1,600 for paint on raw calipers or $2,000 if the calipers have a coating that needs to be stripped. Powder coating is $2,600. Both services take 3–4 business days and include decals with a clear coat, plus rotor hub rust removal and painting to ensure everything looks fresh.

Some specialty finishes like transparent colors or multi-stage coatings may cost more than standard solid colors. Gloss, matte, and satin are all the same price. Send us what you’re looking for and we’ll give you an exact number.

We handle all prep in-house to ensure proper adhesion and warranty coverage. Our pricing includes full prep, so doing it yourself wouldn’t change the cost — and could actually cause issues with the finish.

Yes, we support our veterans. Give us a call at (720) 328-5439 and we’ll take care of you.

Absolutely. You can submit photos and details at colorwerks.co/quote, text us photos at (720) 328-5439, or just call us. We usually get quotes back the same day.

Powder Coating Wheels

Our flagship service — same-day vehicle drop-off, 186+ colors, lifetime warranty.

With our scheduled same-day vehicle drop-off service, you drop off your car at 9 AM and pick it up by 5 PM. We remove the tires, prep and coat the wheels, then remount and balance everything before you leave. Loose wheel drop-offs typically take 1–2 business days depending on the queue.

Yes. Powder coating is more durable than traditional paint — it’s more resistant to chipping, scratching, fading, and chemicals. Your wheels come powder coated from the factory; we strip the original coating and apply a new color. The electrostatic application creates a thicker, more even finish that lasts for years. That’s why we back every job with a lifetime adhesion warranty.

Yes, curb rash repair is included with all wheel powder coating jobs at no extra charge. For gouges, we offer welding at $50 per wheel to fill, smooth, and blend them out.

We coat all wheel types — 1-piece cast, forged, 2-piece, 3-piece, and center lock race rims. We’re one of the few shops in Denver that regularly handles high-end multi-piece wheels from brands like HRE, BBS, Vossen, and ADV.1.

We have 186+ colors in stock, plus access to 7,000+ colors through Prismatic Powders and other suppliers — including illusion colors, candy coats, chameleons, and custom matches. If you can dream it, we can coat it.

Every powder coat wheel job comes with a lifetime adhesion warranty. This covers peeling, flaking, and adhesion failure under normal use. It does not cover damage from impacts, chemicals, or improper care. We stand behind our work — if the coating fails, we’ll redo it.

Brake Calipers

Powder coating and painting for brake calipers — high-temp rated, includes decals and rotor hub cleanup.

Typically 3–4 business days whether we’re powder coating or painting. We’ll text you when they’re ready for pickup.

We offer both. Powder coating is thicker and more chip-resistant with some colors being more vibrant. Painting still offers a high-quality finish at a cheaper price. Both are high-temp rated. We’ll help you choose based on your goals.

Yes. We use high-temperature powder specifically rated for brake components. It won’t discolor, chip, or peel under normal braking conditions.

All 186+ in-stock colors work for calipers, plus 7,000+ available through our suppliers. Popular choices: red, yellow, orange, gloss black, and custom colors to match your wheels.

Yes. We fully remove seals, pistons, and hardware before coating. This ensures complete coverage and prevents damage to brake components.

For a vehicle drop-off, pricing starts at $1,600 for paint on raw calipers or $2,000 if the calipers have a coating that needs to be stripped. Powder coating is $2,600. Both services take 3–4 business days and include decals with a clear coat as well as rotor hub rust removal and painting. Chrome Delete

Eliminate factory chrome trim with premium vinyl wrapping and paint — for that blacked-out look.

Chrome delete eliminates factory chrome trim using a combination of methods. Removable parts like grilles, bezels, badges, and door handles get painted for a factory-quality finish. Fixed trim like window surrounds and roof rails get wrapped in premium vinyl. You can also add powder coated wheels to complete the blacked-out look.

Most chrome delete jobs take 2–5 business days depending on the vehicle and how many pieces need wrapping and/or painting. There’s an Enterprise Car Rental down the street that offers affordable rentals ($30–$40/day) — make sure to reserve in advance.

The vinyl portions (window trim, roof rails) can be removed anytime without damaging your paint. The painted parts (grille, bezels, badges, handles) are a permanent finish — just like factory paint. Both are built to last.

Premium 3M and Avery vinyl lasts 5–7 years outdoors with proper care. Colorado’s UV is intense, so we use only the highest-grade vinyl rated for exterior use. For front-end painting, we recommend paint protection film to prevent rock chips.

Gloss black is the most popular, but we also offer satin black, matte black, carbon fiber, and custom colors. Some customers match their chrome delete to their powder coated wheels.

Pricing depends on the vehicle and how much chrome needs wrapping/painting. Check out our booking app, call us at (720) 328-5439, or submit a quote request for a personalized estimate.

Yes. We wrap/paint chrome trim on trucks, SUVs, sedans, coupes, and luxury vehicles. Popular models include Tesla, GMC Denali, Audi, BMW, Mercedes, and more.

Cerakote

Ceramic-based coating for extreme heat — exhaust, turbo housings, and high-temp automotive parts.

Cerakote is a ceramic-based coating that bonds to metal surfaces at the molecular level. It provides extreme heat resistance (up to 1800°F), corrosion protection, and a durable custom finish — making it ideal for exhaust, turbo, and high-heat automotive parts.

We Cerakote exhaust headers, turbine housings, downpipes, intake manifolds, valve covers, heat shields, intercooler piping, and other automotive parts. We do not Cerakote firearms (license required) or wheels (those get powder coated instead).

Typical turnaround is 3–5 business days depending on the number and size of parts. Cerakote is not a same-day service — proper prep and curing take time to ensure maximum durability.

Yes. Standard powder coating maxes out around 400°F before it degrades. Cerakote withstands up to 1800°F, making it the right choice for exhaust headers, turbo housings, and anything exposed to extreme heat.

Matte black and flat dark earth are most popular for exhaust parts. We also offer titanium, burnt bronze, silver, and custom colors. You can check colors out at cerakote.com.

Pricing depends on the number and size of parts. Call us at (720) 328-5439 or submit a quote request with photos for a personalized estimate.

Yes — we coat parts only, not installed on the vehicle. Remove your headers, turbo, or other parts before drop-off. If you need help, your performance shop or mechanic can handle removal.

Off-Road Parts

Bumpers, skid plates, rock sliders, beadlocks — durable finishes built for the trail.

We powder coat beadlock wheels, steel and aluminum bumpers, skid plates, rock sliders, bull bars, grille guards, roof racks, suspension components, differential covers, light bar mounts, and more. If it’s metal, we can coat it.

Typically 2–5 business days depending on size, quantity, and sandblasting requirements.

Matte black and satin black are by far the most popular. We also do OD green, desert tan, bronze, gunmetal, and textured finishes that hide trail rash. Any color is available — including custom color matches to your rig.

Yes. Powder coating is significantly more durable than spray paint or rattle-can finishes. It resists rock chips, mud, UV fading, and corrosion better than paint. We offer media blasting before coating for maximum adhesion and longevity.

Absolutely. We work on Ford Raptors, Broncos, Toyota Tacomas, 4Runners, Jeep Wranglers, RAM trucks, and every other off-road platform. If the parts come off the vehicle and are metal, we can coat them.

Pricing depends on the size, number, and type of parts. Call us at (720) 328-5439 or submit a quote request with photos for a personalized estimate.

Yes — we coat loose parts only. Remove bumpers, skid plates, racks, and accessories before drop-off. Your off-road shop or installer can handle removal if needed.

Engine Bay

Valve covers, intake manifolds, subframes — make your engine bay look as good as it performs.

We powder coat valve covers, intake manifolds, intercooler piping, throttle bodies, engine covers, subframes, control arms, engine brackets, motor mounts, hard lines, and more. If it’s metal, we can coat it.

Yes — small parts like valve covers and brackets can often be done same-day. Drop off at 9 AM and pick up around 5 PM with a scheduled appointment. Larger jobs like full subframes or multi-piece kits typically take 1–3 business days.

We stock 186+ powder colors plus have access to 7,000+ more — including gloss, matte, satin, metallic, candy, and textured finishes. Custom color matching is available — bring a sample or give us a color code and we’ll match it.

Standard powder coating handles temperatures up to about 400°F, which is fine for valve covers, intake manifolds, subframes, and most engine dress-up parts. For extreme heat parts like exhaust headers or turbine housings (1000°F+), we recommend Cerakote instead.

Powder coating gives a thicker, more durable finish with more color options — perfect for valve covers, manifolds, subframes, and brackets. Cerakote is a thinner ceramic coating designed for extreme heat (up to 1800°F) — best for exhaust headers, turbine housings, and downpipes.

Pricing depends on the size, quantity, and complexity of parts. Call us at (720) 328-5439 or submit a quote request with photos for a personalized estimate.

Yes — all parts must be removed from the vehicle before drop-off. We coat loose parts only. Your mechanic or performance shop can handle removal if needed.

Auto Painting

Professional automotive painting for bumpers, fenders, spoilers, and off-car body panels.

No. Our paint booth is 8×8 feet, so it does not fit full vehicles. We paint off-car parts only — bumpers, fenders, spoilers, side skirts, mirrors, and body panels. Parts must be removed from the vehicle before drop-off.

Yes. We use your vehicle’s OEM paint code to mix paint which is typically a 90% match.

Typical turnaround is 2–5 business days depending on the number of parts, prep work required, and number of coats. Auto painting is not a same-day service — proper prep, multiple coats, and curing take time for a factory-quality result.

We offer solid colors, metallic, candy, pearl, matte, satin, and custom finishes. Most customers want OEM color matching, but we also do full custom colors for a unique look.

Pricing depends on the part size, prep work, and finish type. Call us at (720) 328-5439 or submit a quote request with photos for a personalized estimate.

Yes — we paint off-car parts only. Remove your bumper, fender, spoiler, or panels before drop-off. If you need help with removal, your body shop or mechanic can handle it.

We use professional-grade automotive basecoat/clearcoat systems. Parts are sanded, primed, sealed, then painted with multiple coats and finished with UV-resistant clearcoat for long-lasting durability.

7 Questions

Ceramic Coating

9H ceramic protection for your vehicle’s paint — UV shield, hydrophobic finish, years of protection.

Ceramic coating is a liquid polymer applied to your vehicle’s exterior. It chemically bonds to the factory paint, creating a permanent protective layer that repels water, resists UV rays, and guards against chemical stains, bird droppings, and oxidation.

Professional-grade 9H ceramic coating lasts 2–5+ years depending on maintenance, driving conditions, and whether the vehicle is garaged. It far outlasts traditional wax (weeks) and paint sealants (months).

Especially in Colorado. The high-altitude UV exposure, road salt in winter, and temperature extremes all accelerate paint degradation. Ceramic coating provides a shield against all of these. It’s one of the best investments you can make in your vehicle’s appearance and resale value.

Ceramic coating is not a same-day service. Proper prep (wash, decon, clay bar, paint correction) takes time. Plan for 2–3 days including cure time. We’ll give you a specific timeline when you bring your vehicle in.

Ceramic coating adds a hard protective layer (9H hardness) that resists light scratches and swirl marks. It won’t make your car bulletproof, but it significantly reduces the risk of everyday paint damage from washing, road debris, and environmental contaminants.

New cars are the ideal candidate. The paint is in mostly perfect condition, so the coating locks in that showroom finish from day one. We still do a full decon and prep to ensure a perfect bond.

Pricing depends on vehicle size, paint condition (whether correction is needed), and the package you choose. Call us at (720) 328-5439 or submit a quote request for a personalized estimate.

Wheel Repair

Crack repair, bend straightening, curb rash fix — save 50–70% vs. replacement.

We repair cracks, bends, curb rash, corrosion, and impact damage. If the wheel is structurally sound enough to weld, we can fix it. We’ll assess your wheel and give you an honest recommendation.

Yes. Our TIG welds are stronger than the original cast aluminum. Every crack repair is pressure tested before refinishing. We won’t release a wheel that isn’t safe.

Repair typically saves 50–70% compared to buying a new OEM wheel. A $1,500 replacement wheel might cost $400–$600 to repair and refinish. Call us with photos for an exact quote.

Most repairs take 3–5 business days depending on the severity and whether refinishing (powder coat or paint) is included.

Yes. We repair cast, forged, flow-formed, and multi-piece wheels. Forged wheels are actually easier to weld due to their material properties.

Yes — we can powder coat or paint your wheel after repair for a complete like-new finish. Most customers combine repair + refinish for the best result.

Industrial Powder Coating

Gates, railings, patio furniture, custom metalwork — commercial and residential projects.

Powder coating is an electrostatically applied dry finish that’s oven-cured onto metal. It creates a thick, uniform coating that resists chipping, scratching, corrosion, and UV fading — far outlasting traditional wet paint on outdoor and industrial items.

Gates, fences, railings, patio furniture, benches, bike racks, light fixtures, machinery parts, custom metalwork, and more. If it’s metal, we can probably coat it. Maximum oven size accommodates most residential and commercial items.

Typical turnaround is 3–7 business days depending on size, quantity, and prep required. Large or heavily rusted items may take longer due to sandblasting.

Yes. Powder coating is 3–5x thicker than paint, bonds directly to metal, and resists chipping, scratching, and UV degradation. It’s the industry standard for outdoor metal that needs to last.

Over 6,500 colors including any RAL color match. Gloss, matte, satin, textured, metallic, and candy finishes. We can match any existing color or create a custom look.

Yes. We work with contractors, property managers, and metal fabricators on bulk projects. Call us at (720) 328-5439 or submit a quote request with photos and quantities for pricing.

For large items like gates or fences, ask about pickup and delivery options. Standard items should be brought to our Centennial, CO shop during business hours.
