Common Questions
Powder Coating FAQ
Wheels, brake calipers, off-road bumpers, engine parts, motorcycle parts — plus gates, fences, railings, patio furniture, benches, bike racks, light fixtures, machinery parts, custom metalwork, and more. If it’s metal, we can probably coat it. Maximum oven size accommodates most residential and commercial items.
We keep 225+ colors on the shelf and have access to 7,000+ through Prismatic Powders. Popular choices include gloss black, matte black, bronze, gold, gunmetal, red, and custom colors — see real jobs by color on our powder coat colors page. If you can picture it, we can probably do it.
Depends on the part. Wheels with a scheduled vehicle drop-off are same-day — drop off in the morning, pick up by 5 PM. Loose wheels take 1–2 business days, brake calipers 3–4, motorcycle parts 2–3, off-road parts 2–5, engine parts 5–10, and industrial items 3–7. These are typical turnaround times — depending on how busy we are, they can vary. We’ll confirm your pickup date at drop-off.
Yes. Powder coating is 3–5x thicker than paint, bonds directly to metal, and resists chipping, scratching, and UV degradation. It’s the industry standard for outdoor metal that needs to last.
Yes — lifetime adhesion warranty on most powder coating. Covers peeling, flaking, and adhesion failure under normal use. Off-road parts get a 1-year warranty and are only covered if sandblasting is performed. Full terms on our warranty page.
